STEAM Event on Book Fest Day in Collingswood (NJ) for Middle School Students Join the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Workshop with Jeff Cunningham introducing the book, Leo: Inventor Extraordinaire. Mr. Cunningham is an Emmy-nominated writer with three years writing for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Leo: Inventor Extraordinaire is written for tween/middle school readers. Leo, a fictional 13-year-old with extraordinary skills in invention, left at an early age with a Florence (Italy) boarding school. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci but with near future technology in his arsenal of tools to solve a range of problems, from escaping detention, building robotic pets, to searching for connection to his family - that have seemingly abandoned him. The STEAM workshop will be upstairs in the Youth Services Area of the Collingswood library from 10-12 on Book Fest Day, October 2. It will include creative, STEAM- related fun, and time with author Jeff Cunningham. Tickets are only needed for participates, not parents/guardians attending with youth. Each family is limited to 3 tickets, if your family has more than three middle school students or middle school level readers arrangements can be made, contact me at [email protected].
