Creating With A Purpose – Rock Painting Experience While Listening To The Music Of Prince. DJs|Dance|Food Truck|Art|An Alphonso Starr Event Love is action. A kind word heals. That is why, every guest, for this experience, will be painting and scattering word rocks throughout the Township Commons Park for people to find. Almost three years ago, our founder SaRita Dean created the Kind Word Rocks Project. It was soon after her visit to Paisley Park, and she wanted to spread some joy around to make people smile. We never expected the idea to grow this much, but it did. Our rocks and messages are all over the world now! And we keep trying to make people happy through our message rocks. At the experience guests can paint two or three rocks to carry with them during the day, and it is such a delightful process: You choose the colors, the quotes, the lettering. You paint, write, and seal the rocks, with hopes that the right words will find the person who needs them. SaRita always carry word rocks with her no matter if she is walking in her neighborhood, doing groceries, mailing a letter, or having a coffee with a friend. Sometimes she will even pull the car over to leave a word rock at a park or playground, just to find a nice spot to surprise someone! Project SMILE collaborated with Alphonso Starr Productions to host this rock painting experience, creating with a purpose to share our love for the music of Prince with kids and to teach them the positive value in paying kindness forward.
