Description
Skyla is a 5 yr old spayed beagle/lab mix adopted from the Austin Animal Center last October as a companion to another dog that I ultimately had to put down in January because of cancer. I need to re-home her ASAP because Skyla is absolutely not with good cats and other small animals – she chased away my 10 yr old cat in March and after all this time she growls, barks, chases the remaining adult cat that is 8 yr old (who hasn’t come out of my bedroom since October), and she chases on of my kittens as well. She also charges after any wild rabbits that might wander through the yard, and sometimes even the birds.
According to records from the shelter, Skyla’s previous owner said her left leg was broken when she was a puppy and never healed correctly so it’s a bit gimpy. Even so, she’s quite agile, is very active and playful, and loves to play tug of war, fetch, and especially run around the yard surprisingly fast! Skyla does pull on leash but I’m certain she’ll respond to positive training methods.
I’m requesting a re-homing fee of only $25 but will provide all records I have for Skyla, any remaining food I have for her as well as a few of her favorite toys.
Please Help – if I can’t re-home her, I’ll have to surrender her back to the shelter (appointment set for July 20), which I truly don’t want to do!
Please text or call. Thanks
