Person Dies In Saugus House Fire: Report

SAUGUS, MA — A fire early Saturday morning in Saugus killed one person and sent another to the hospital, according to reports. The fire broke out around 6 a.m. along Richard Street. Two people were trapped inside the home when firefighters arrived. Saugus fire officials announced the death near 9 a.m. Saturday, according to CBS Boston. Firefighters from Melrose and Everett responded to help put out the flames and cover other parts of Saugus. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear. Saugus MA, fire fighters battled an early morning 3 Alarm fire on Richards street, the single family house. The two occupants are in serious condition.
