Learn how to incorporate enamel elements or found objects into finished pieces of jewelry with Visiting Artist Lauren Markley! 1-Day Visiting Artist Workshop Date: Sunday, October 10, 2021 Time: 10am-5pm Description: In this class, we will cover several ways to incorporate enamel elements into finished pieces of jewelry such as rings, earrings, or brooches. We will learn about tab, bezel, and prong settings in various contexts, as well as methods of linking enamel components for necklaces and earrings. Students will hone their soldering and fabricating abilities along with their order-of-operation skills. Students will come away from the class with a variety of samples and finished pieces. Many of the techniques covered in the class ill also be applicable to found objects, so students who do not enamel should feel welcome to attend. Tuition: $120 + $20 materials fee - This workshop only$225 + $50 materials fee - Both workshopsMaterials: All copper materials will be provided for this workshop. If you would like to bring your own sterling silver materials to use, we can provide you with a detailed list of materials to bring. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded through Eventbrite, or you may leave your workshop fee in your Contemporary Craft account for future workshops. Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $50 cancellation fee for a visiting artist workshop.
