RENTON, WA — A busy weekend continued for King County firefighters Sunday, as a fast-moving brush fire spurred evacuations in Renton. The flames were mostly knocked down by 7 p.m. p.m., thanks to a multi-agency effort between the Renton Regional Fire Authority, Eastside Fire, Puget Sound Fire, the Port of Seattle Fire Department and the Tukwila Fire Department.

Firefighters said a large fire truck designed to handle aircraft incidents at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport helped extinguish the flames.
