If you are looking for housing in Gibson City, IL, DO NOT rent from the Meadow Village Apartments!! We lived there for a year, and it was the longest year in my life! Luckily we were finally able to move out of there, thank God! The caretaker is very childish. She gets will scream and swear at the residents, so loud that everyone in the complex--and across the street--can hear her. But if you swear back at her, she calls the cops on you. If she gets mad at you, she will do everything she can to get you evicted and then put a no trespass order on you. She did it to us, she has done it to others, and she will do it again. She has caused damage to the property, but denies it. Last summer while she was mowing the lawn she chucked a rock at my patio door as she was driving by and the glass shattered!! But she never would--and still won't--admit she did it! Even though we found a shattered rock lying on our patio! Neighbor kids shooting bb guns were responsible, don't ya know! If there are any maintenance issues that arise you will have to wait for the work to get done--if it ever does. And any work that is done probably isn't up to code as she gets the cheapest workers she can--some who probably aren't even qualified to do the work. The management company will do nothing to help!! They will not do anything about complaints about her. Believe me, we tried. It isn't like you can actually go to the office--the company is based in Wisconsin. Everything has to be done by email or phone calls. I know this will probably be flagged, but maybe someone will see it and be saved from a living in he**.
