1 Dead, 2 Wounded In West Birmingham Shooting

BIRMINGHAM, AL — One person is dead and two more have been hospitalized after a shooting in west Birmingham Saturday night. The incident occurred just after 8 p.m. in the 4400 block of Willard Ave. Sgt, Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said the preliminary investigation suggests multiple rounds were exchanged during he incident. The name of the victim who died in the shooting has not been released, and the two injured victims were taken to UAB Hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.
