AKMLD has had a significant increase in dogs now that people are traveling again. We are looking for some hard working, dog loving people who are dependable and responsible. We have morning shifts 6:30am-2pm and our afternoon shifts M-F 12pm-7pm and weekend shifts 7-11am and 4-7pm. We have runner shifts from 7am-10am and 4pm-7pm. Our Pack Leader positions manage packs of dogs in play groups (up to 20 dogs in each group) which can be difficult at times if you are an easily stressed individual. Please be aware that you are not hired to just play with dogs, but to make sure they are safe in play groups and kept busy. You must possess patience and not give up easily. Must have easy going, positive and upbeat attitude. This is a very rewarding job to work with dogs and see their happy faces and be able to teach them good manners. This job is hard work and not for the easily stressed. Previous dog handling experience a plus. Great position for vet tech, vet students or future dog trainers who want to learn about dog behaviors. * Must be a hard worker! * Must be self motivated! * Must possess kindness and patience! * Must be dependable! * Must like to clean! * Must have own transportation. * Must have HS diploma or equivalent. * Opportunity for advancement to lead positions for those that go above and beyond. Job Type: Full Time/Part Time Salary: $11 or $12 hour to start depending on experience.
