Facilities Maintenance Technician Reef Tectonics is hiring a Facilities and Maintenance Technician This is a full-time (32 to 36 hrs/wk plus up to 4 hours per week in response to on-call requests) facility maintenance, property management, and repair position. Employee may perform minor electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, janitorial services, minor auto repair and maintenance, general landscaping, and grounds-keeping. Work will be performed at our primary warehouse, rental properties, as well as client locations. The schedule is open Mon-Fri daytime hours. The position offers some flexibility in the daily start / end times. Additional tasks include representing our Facilities Management clients, assisting Aquarium Maintenance Specialists with special projects, rental property management and repairs, snow removal, and mowing. Minimum Qualifications: Experience in minor electrical work (lighting, small machines, outlets) Experience in painting and drywall work Experience in basic plumbing and working with PVC Ability to provide excellent customer service through clear and appropriate communication methods Must have a good driving record Ability to operate hand and power tools Ability to work independently without much supervision Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance Knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Ability to apply mechanical concepts and principles to identify and solve problems. Physical Requirements Must be able to bend/twist the body in order to work in tight spaces Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Must drive to the customers’ locations. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to perform job duties while wearing protective equipment as required by Reef Tectonics. Licenses, Certifications, or Professional Designation Must maintain a valid state driver’s operating license *Employees who do not maintain a good driving record may not be to work for our company due to insurance requirements.
