Puppy Listing Scams

As I've been searching for a new family dog, I've come across several ads that state they have puppies that are ready to be rehomed for a fee. I've been asked to pay a deposit to hold a dog or pay money towards having the dog transported without seeing the dog. Of course I didn't pay. It was obvious they are trying to scam people out of money. I noticed many sharing pics of dogs that are generic and not the actual dog itself. Others show they are located in one city only to find out when they respond to an inquiry that they are located hours away in another city. I would identify the listings but there are too many to share. I'm sharing this in hopes it'll keep someone or a family from falling victim to these scams. Remember the saying, if it's to good to be true, then it mostly likely is.
