Forty-something drummer looking to put together a project to play instrumental jazz that is not your Grandpa's Jazz. Look, I have nothing against Standards, but how about we do something new and interesting with them? Different feels. Changing time signatures. Looking for players who are interested in taking a Brad Meldhau, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Aaron Parks, Bad Plus approach to standards, pop/rock covers and originals, rather than just playing the same-old, same-old arrangements.
