Embrace the Inner Lotus DAY RETREAT at The Capital’s Water Gardens

Experience the magic of the Lotus flower, by practicing yoga around REAL live giant Lotus Flowers in bloom. You may have heard the old phrase "no mud, no Lotus," and wondered what it truly referenced. As much as we embody the flower, study it's roots, and seek it's wisdom; there is no better what to truly understand the way of the Lotus than by spending time with them in person. Washington, DC hosts many secrets, and one of the best known is the Kenilworth Aquatic gardens which hosts a variety of Lotus flowers and water lilies--including the giant Water Lotus. We will start the day with a yoga class, followed by a guided walking meditation through the gardens. The day will include guest speakers, breakfast and lunch, and access to a marketplace session where guest can access add on sessions in reiki, massage, yoni steaming, and other services. Tentative Schedule: 7AM-9AM - Sunrise Yoga & Walking Meditation at Kenniworth Aquatic Gardens 9AM-10AM - Breakfast w/ Journaling & Discussion at Kenniworth Aquatic Gardens 11AM-12PM - Embodied Social Movement Yoga (location tdb) 12PM-2PM - Lunch & Break (location tdb) 2PM-6PM - Goddess Marketplace + Add on sessions 6PM-7PM - Closing Ceremony & Send off Adrianne is a yoga teacher, Reiki practitioner, and climate adapatation justice advocate working with people to find a stronger connection to source, and maintain the healthiest lifestyle possible giving the resources at hand. She loves nature, loves to travel, and believes that spending time in nature is essential to how we continue to find ways to thrive in a changing world. She is particular committed to working with POC and other underserved communities to create a path for people from diverse background to find inclusive spaces to learn about nature that may not have historically been present.
