Description
Drummer Available and looking to venture into an Energetic Party Band/ Entertainment Greetings! My name is Andy Carr and I am a veteran drummer that has been involved in the St. Louis original Rock Scene going back to the mid 1990’s. Not expecting everyone to be familiar with my work, but I have played in local bands over the years and you may have seen me play at places like Kennedy’s 2nd Street, Bernards Pub, Mississippi Nights, the Galaxy, the High Point, Rocket Bar, Firebird, Creepy Crawl, FUBAR, etc. and I also got to do some regional touring. Mostly having fun with my friends and being creative. Bands I have been in/ appeared in over the years include but are not limited to: Clear Glass Religion (regional touring, Point Essential disc and a fair amount of airplay, etc), Asia Minor (RFT Best Hard Rock Band 2003), The Domani International, Heroes of the Kingdom, and others. I am 43 years old and I have played my fair share of half-empty clubs to a few dudes in black t-shirts. I have enjoyed performing original music and seen it through with several projects. I am at a point in my life where I am more interested in entertaining and having fun and would it be a sin to make a couple of bucks at it? I am interested in joining or forming an ensemble of musicians to play current top 40 pop hits, classic rock hits, and everything fun. Some bands locally who’s work I admire would be Dr. Zhivegas, Dirty Mugs, Well Hungarians- the type of bands that people know they are going to have a good time going out to see. I also like this: https://www.greenlightbooking.com/liquid-blue-party-band/ I’d like to work on refining this thing over the next several months and then getting to work. I’d like to start with maybe 2 shows a month and see where it goes from there. I am pro gear, pro attitude, no drugs, and I don’t drink. I can coexist with people who are different than me or have a different outlook than I do easily. I have a young family but I am financially stable so I don’t need to profit from this and I can contribute to the band financially for rehearsal space, production needs, marketing, etc. to get us going. Most of my friends that I have played music with over the years see this as selling out, but I have seen through the “original, indie band” thing a dozen times. It’s fun, but I want to get into something else. I am a technical player with plenty of dynamics and chops. I don’t over play - I want to serve the music and provide a solid foundation. If you have a need for a drummer like me for your project or you are interested in starting something like this, hit me up.
