Oak Brook Polo's Chicago Polo Open marks halfway point of the season and the highly popular Horses & Hops Beer Festival. The third tournament of 2021 Oak Brook Polo Season kicks off with Chicago's very own official polo tournament, the Chicago Polo Open, the City of Chicago's signature polo event returning for its sixth year. The Chicago Polo Open is a rebirth of Chicago's history in hosting rival polo teams from around the Midwest and the United States, such as Milwaukee, Detroit, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Iowa, Indianapolis and many more. The tournament also marks the half way point of the Chicago Polo season. Local teams have played against one another and have formed strategies to defeat their opponent. Sunday's event also includes Oak Brook Polo's popular "Horses & Hops" beer festival. While watching the thrilling polo match, taste and enjoy award winning and popular local and midwest craft brews from our field-side beer garden. It was once the sport's epicenter for elite professional polo in the United States and served as home to the U.S. Open Polo Championship for twenty-four straight seasons and other prestigious international and national polo tournaments. For decades the Club has been a popular Sunday tradition and social scene known for entertaining Hollywood celebrities, dignitaries, royalty and Chicago's distinguished. Today. the Oak Brook Polo Club plays on the Prince of Wales Field, which is adjacent to the Butler National Golf Course and The Drake Hotel in beautiful Oak Brook, Illinois.
