Shared Rehearsal Space Available

Meets

3rd street near Jackson street, Oakland CA

Description

Moderately sized rehearsal room available for share in Jack London Studios, downtown Oakland, starting August 1st or sooner. If this post is still up, the room is still available! About the room: The room has recently been cleaned, newly painted, and re-carpeted. The room size measures 12' x 15' with 10' ceilings, has 5 outlet boxes with 4 outlets each, and is accessible for rehearsing 24 hours, 7 days a week. The HVAC system in the building was recently upgraded in response to cov1d so that air is circulated and filtered well. Additionally there is a HEPA air purifier that can be run in the room while it's being used, and hand sanitizer. Outside of the room everyone who enters the JLS building is expected to wear a mask, such as in the hallways and bathrooms. According to the building manager, over half the tenants have remained since the building first opened. It's a well maintained, chill, and conveniently located spot easily accessible from the 880 or 980 freeways in downtown Oakland near Jack London Square. We are about to have over twenty acoustic panels installed in the room, so the acoustics should be way better than your average box room. This will make it more of an ideal space for recording live instruments. Currently 3 other people (including myself) share the room and use it for music production, practice, composition, etc. We are all cool with sharing each other's gear as well. There's room for one or two more person's gear and there's plenty of time for having your own dedicated recurring weekly rehearsal slots during the day and evenings. These would be 3 hour long time slots available only to you, up to three times a week. We use a Google Calendar to coordinate time slots, and any open time is free for booking drop in time. If you're interested shoot me an email and we can set up a time to chat on the phone and/or schedule a time to view the room. Serious inquires only please. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!
