FREE EVENT - When exploring nature don't forget the little guys! Join biologist as we take a closer look at insects. FREE EVENT - REGISTRATION OPENS 6/30Come out and connect with the often over looked insects of Winding Waters in this outdoor classroom! Join us as we learn the FUN-damentals of species identification. We will learn how to identify some of the insects here at Winding Waters by learning how to spot their unique characteristics. Guidebooks with pictures will be provided to help us learn species names. Soon we’ll all be thinking just like biologists! Please bring your water, appropriate clothing (hat, hiking shoes/boots, long-sleeved shirts and pants for bugs) and bug spray. Restroom facilities are a short drive away within Dyer Park.  Children must be accompanied by an adult. Masks are not required for fully vaccinated participants (2 weeks after 2nd shot, or 2 weeks after J&J shot) and are required for unvaccinated when unable to maintain social distancing.
