Join us for our FREE community event SWIM-In-For-Joy to commemorate our Swim-In for Restorative Justice. All participants are invited during the event to experience restorative healing, awareness, relaxation and JOY through the water. The goal of the event is to provide a positive environment for all to build a relationship with the water and its benefits through mindfulness, water and community. This FREE event will provide opportunities for the community to heal, to share the rich history of aquatics in Carter Park, collectively experience the positive impacts of swimming and water safety and to address the aquatic needs of the community. Join us for this fun and educational event for your whole family!
Every one of us on the Diversity In Aquatics team has been profoundly influenced by our experiences in the aquatic community that we can scarcely imagine our lives without this skill and this community.
There is so much history, empowerment, and excellence in this community that needs to shared and grown, We are educators, athletes, researchers, coaches, students and lovers of aquatics driven by our love and respect of water and the life-saving skill of swimming.
Our planet is mostly water, our bodies are mostly water, and all people unequivocally must know how to one with it.
We hope you join us in our quest to see that all members of society are educated about water safety and engaged in healthy aquatic activities.
