The Detroit RiverWalk is one of the city’s (and nation's) greatest public spaces and is operated by the Riverfront Conservancy. The Riverfront Walking Tour series is generously sponsored by the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy. Detroit Riverfront: Past, Present and Future Tour Detroit’s award-winning RiverWalk features multiple parks and green spaces connected by a scenic promenade along the Detroit River. On this walking tour you’ll get to take a stroll along the RiverWalk and Dequindre Cut as you learn about the riverfront’s integral role in the region’s history, the amazing spaces and programs that exist today, and the incredible future plans for what USA Today calls, the Best Riverwalk in the U.S. Whether you’ve been in Detroit a day or a lifetime this tour will give you a better understanding of the riverfront's past, present and future. Highlights include: Cullen PlazaMilliken State ParkDequindre CutValade Park Tour begins at Cullen Plaza at the concrete ground map near the carousel and ends at Robert C Valade Park. Total Walking Distance = ~1.3 miles Tour begins promptly at the start time. Please allow yourself a sufficient amount of time to find parking and arrive at Cullen Plaza. Parking available at Cullen Plaza and on the streets adjacent to it. REGISTERING: Our tour tickets are donation-based to support our non-profit mission; however, please contact us at [email protected] if you are unable to pay. If RSVPing for more than 1 person, please register 1 donation ticket and each additional person under "Additional Tickets if RSVPing for more than 1 person" REQUIRED: Masks are required to attend this experience. In order to adhere to social distancing guidelines, we will be utilizing Zoom technology throughout the tour. Please bring a fully charged phone and a pair of headphones compatible with your mobile device. CHECK-IN: The tour begins promptly at starting time, please arrive 5 minutes prior to the start of the tour and check in with your guide who will be wearing a blue Detroit Experience Factory t-shirt or scarf. TICKETING: No need to print your ticket. Arrive a few minutes early to check-in and give the guide your name. That's it! If your plans change and you can't make it, please cancel your booking to open up your spot to another participant. Have a group of 10 or more?
