Amid an intensifying drought and record-breaking temperatures across the Western United States, California Governor Gavin Newsom has declared 50 counties in a drought state of emergency and called on Californians to voluntarily reduce their water use by 15%.
While the City of Millbrae already has one of the lowest per capita water usage rates in the State, using simple measures, we can continue to help to protect water reserves and continue to do our part.
Here is a list of some things we can do to help reduce our water consumption during this drought state of emergency:
