Press release from the City of Long Beach: 7/9/2021 Long Beach Public Library (LBPL) Ancestry Library Edition The easy-to-use Ancestry Library Edition is stocked with billions of records, such as Census data, city directories, cemeteries, wills, probate, immigration information and more to help an individual learn about their roots. In addition to this resource, LBPL also offers digitized newspaper archives that can be especially useful for family historians. "Genealogy is growing in popularity for a reason," said Long Beach Public Library Director Glenda Williams. "It's fun and fascinating! Ancestry Library Edition is the perfect tool to research your family history." LBPL card holders can access Ancestry Library Edition on-site at any of the open library locations, or log in from a personal device through the Library's website. Remote access to the tool will remain available through December 31, 2021.
