Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 07/10/2021 211910247 Preliminary Information: On 7/10/21, around 2:25 am, officers responded to a person shot at the location of 2621 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, identified as Anthony Davis, with a single gunshot wound. The male was alert, conscious and breathing and transported to the hospital for treatment. The shooter remained on scene. He is an adult male identified as Michael Lynn Symonette. Preliminary investigation indicates Mr. Davis and Mr. Symonette were involved in a physical dispute that occurred outside of the store where Mr. Symonette operates as a clerk. Both Mr. Symonette and Mr. Davis were arrested on charges of aggravated assault.
