Luxury picnic company is hiring new team members to deliver and set up picnics at beaches, parks and private locations throughout San Diego County. Job Description: PICNIC TECH Picnic Techs are responsible for packing, delivering, setting-up and cleaning-up picnics for clients at various locations around San Diego. Excellent customer service skills, time management and attention to detail are essential. We also require picnic techs to sanitize their equipment each shift and perform cleaning + organizational tasks each week as side work at our shop. We provide detailed training on the styling, packing, setup and cleaning. We try to make it as streamlined and straightforward as possible but inevitably, this is a job where you are required to think on your feet. Flexibility + problem solving are more essential than styling or design capabilities (we have a formula for that!) The ideal picnic tech is someone that works well under pressure, can follow clear objectives in the time allotted, and has a positive, can-do attitude. Duties include: Packing + unpacking vehicles Driving your personal car and a delivery vehicle (both are required for this job) Navigating to and from our shop (near SDSU) and between picnic locations throughout San Diego Setup + cleanup of picnics: including carrying heavy items over difficult terrain, following detailed instructions and keeping to a strict schedule (30 minute setup/cleanup window) Client communication: texting + greeting clients + problem solving onsite (as necessary) Side work: cleaning, organizing + other duties in the shop (weekly) Job Requirements A qualified applicant must have these capabilities or be willing to undergo training where applicable: Clean driving record Have a reliable vehicle (van or SUV a plus) that you can drive for the job Drive a delivery van (one with and the other without windows) Use your smartphone to send clients texts, phone calls, Google + Apple Maps and take photos Lift 25-50lbs (we have staff of all sizes, shapes + genders- you don't need to be Hercules but fitness is important) Possess the physical strength and endurance necessary to carry oversized, heavy equipment over uneven terrain- like sand, hills, trails + steps Possess the physical strength and endurance necessary to pull a cart on uneven, sandy and sometimes steep surfaces Work outside (sun, heat, cold, wind) Be on your feet for at least 4 hours Regularly work 3.5 hours without access to a bathroom (public restrooms are near all our picnic locations but accessibility will be limited to break periods) This is a great job for general laborers, hospitality, catering, tourism + events workers, veterans and military, part-time work, weekend work, students... maybe you? We are hiring 3-5 positions to start ASAP. We need both full-time and on-call staff. The immediate need is for Friday, Saturday + Sunday shifts from 10am-10pm. Weekday availability is a bonus.
