What you’ll be doing: The Maintenance Technician Assistant provides varied support of the daily operations of USHS by assisting facility maintenance projects and needed repairs and preventative maintenance of equipment. The Maintenance Technician Assistant provides delivery and pick up support of business and food items to various locations. The Maintenance Technician Assistant may also assist in coordinating outside vendors and contractors with repairs and communications. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have working knowledge and experience with general handyman tasks e.g., basic plumbing, basic electrical, painting skills, basic carpentry including ability to work with a saw and drill, dry wall, plaster, tile, mechanical, etc. Proficient with office communication equipment and office machines (telephone, copier, personal computer). Familiarity or ability to learn Microsoft Office and Google Suite software, and perform internet research. Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, installation and operating and maintenance instructions and manuals. Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: 6 months in providing facility maintenance or equivalent experience is preferred.
