$250 per month + security deposit Size: 18 ft X 16 ft recording studio, with 9.5 ft X 6 ft secure storage room, 24-hour access. Also access to our event space for physically distanced jams, by arrangement. Located in San Francisco residential area, in a beautiful 120 year-old warehouse, originally a winery, This unique private rehearsal/recording studio has excellent acoustics and sound proofing.We have a shared PA (2 JBL EON10s,) and plug n’ play recording set-up, including a 24x8 mixer, total 16ch I/O recording, and 8ch snake for drums, Fender Base amp, mic stands and cables. The ventilation system pulls fresh air through the room, and there is a HEPA air purifier available. This Music Space functioned for many years as a commercial recording studio, rented by a producer/engineer, but has also accommodated bands as a rehearsal space, dividing the weekdays to match needs. It is located 2 blocks from 3rd Street lite-rail and bus lines. and is part of an art-space. The music studio is very private, in a completely separate area from the art studios. Access to our large 65ft x35ft. Main Art Studio for physically-distanced jam sessions is available to all music studio renters by appointment. When people rent here, they usually stay for many years! Currently, our Music Space renter is an amazing songwriter/keyboardist who is easy going, seeking gigs, and open to collaboration. He currently uses the space 2 Days a week. We offer 24 hr access, so Music Producers and Sound Engineers, and Bands very welcome. You also have access to a clean restroom, and some kitchen use. The Winery is surrounded by patios and gardens, great for a break during long sessions. The Music Space was established in the early 80’s by the band Missile Harmony. It has since been the creative home of several touring groups and solo artists. The Winery is beautiful, clean place to work, and has the option of hosting live house concerts, and community events in its main art studio(65ft x35ft.) and large gardens.
