Description
Meet Athena, we are currently fostering her. She came into our care unexpectedly when her owners could no longer offer her the proper care or home she deserved. Up until coming into our care she spent her life in a back yard with very limited human contact, no training, and no health care. She's been with us for a little while now getting better; getting the love, attention, vet care, and basic training she needs. We thought about keeping her ourselves as she has the biggest heart and amazing personality. Unfortunately, we are a firm believer a dog deserves top care, love, training, and attention; we feel two is our limit (we have two German shepherds of our own), but wanted to make sure to get Athena a great headstart in her new life. Having two German shepherds of our own, prior to Athena coming into our care it wouldn't be fair to Athena, or our other fur-babies to keep her ourselves. We've been making sure to provide Athena with proper vet care with wormings and vaccinations since she's been with us and, vitamins to help her heal from some circumstances from her previous home. Plus lots of love, and providing her with the start of basic training and house manners. Athena is a very loving, sweet Rottweiler, loves to play, loves children, gets along perfect with our German shepherds. So a family with other dog friendly dogs and children 7 years or older (as she is a large puppy) works well for Athena. We want to find her a home with someone who can continue to offer her the love, attention, vet care, and training she deserves. She's a really good pup with lots of love to bring to her new family. She loves being with her people so a home that can offer her to live indoors, with a fenced in backyard for the option to play and relieve herself out doors is what we're looking for, for her as well. She is active, not overly hyper but does have a good bit of energy, she'll need a family willing to offer her playtime and attention to use some of that energy everyday. Looking for a home willing and able to offer her the best life, that fits her needs. Who ever chooses to offer her that, will be rewarded with her extremely loyal, loving, and sweet personality. We aren't asking to profit from Athena, but recover the investment we've made into her proper care while being with us (food, vitamins, medicines, and vet costs). Therefore she's not free, but will have an adoption fee. If you feel you can offer Athena the loving home she deserves, please reach out to us with some information on the type of home you can provide for her. Athena is not a good candidate for a guard dog for those who may see she's a Rottweiler and want her for that purpose, she's extremely affectionate, welcoming, and doesn't know a stranger. We will be screening for the proper home prior to placing her. Thank you for considering Athena!
