Bassist For Hire, Covers Only
Meets
Spokane WA
Description
Hello, and thank you for taking a look at my advertisement. I’m primarily looking for paying sit-in scenarios where cover bands need someone to play bass until they find regular band members. Alternatively, and ideally, if an opportunity arose for a house band situation, I am keen to hear about it. If you’re interested in discussing opportunities, please feel free to inquire about an audio-video sample. If you happen to have samples of your band playing live, it would be greatly appreciated to hear them. I have gigging experience as a bassist in various forms of rock music as well as country over the course of about 15 years; classic rock, 80’s rock, alternative 90’s rock, country (new and old). And I am willing to learn new styles, such as reggae, for the right situation. My interests in playing music are to deliver quality audio and entertaining content to customers (venues and venue patrons) so that they can enjoy themselves, dance, and listen to quality music for their entertainment pleasures. My boundaries: - I don’t play free gigs or for ‘exposure.’ - I don’t enjoy writing music, publishing, or playing locally written songs (“originals”), so please only contact me for cover-band material that has been widely accept on the radio airwaves. - The general areas around Spokane where I can gig are outlined in the attached picture. - For me, this is a hobby, so I am available Friday nights through Sunday evenings. The other evenings are intended for homework - haha!! - I have my own gear and prefer to use it over any borrowed gear. - Advanced notice is preferred in order to learn the material and rehearse with the band a couple of times. Though, there is a good chance that I have already played some of the songs on the band’s setlist live, so feel free to inquire for short-notice tickets as well and we can talk about what can go on the setlist. - If you have the songs available to borrow in mp3 format, it will optimize learning and minimize learning time. I play the tunes note-for-note or very close to the recordings and hope you do as well. Be well, thanks for looking!
