African side neck turtle needs home

Our female African side neck turtle is in need of a loving home. She is 13+ years old and this species can live to 50+ years. This is certainly a commitment. I received her when I was 18 and had not prepared for the challenges caring for her would be through all of life’s changes. I truly hope to find a loving home for her where someone will invest in a large tank and habitat that she will thrive in. She is currently in a 29 gallon tank, but it is too small for her to be truly happy. Her name is Jane, and she will come with her current tank with tank stand, large filter, stones, and log for basking. Over the years we have had lamps for her to bask, but have found she really enjoys having her tank in front of a nice sunny window. She loves eating rosy reds or crickets, but is also fine with aquatic turtle food. She loves to follow people around the room swimming to each side of her tank. A $20 adoption fee is requested to hopefully ensure a good home. Thank you for your consideration of Jane.
