Voters in California voted to reduce punishments for theft. As a result, they have brazen thieves walking into stores and walking out with bags and suitcases full of merchandise and nobody can stop them. This is a result of two things: California voters are soft-hearted and most criminals equate kindness with weakness. The California state government for decades has catered to criminals and illegals, rather than the legal citizens and taxpayers. California is out of control and the Democrats can't blame anyone but themselves. They think they're being compassionate and generous. All they're doing is feeding the crocodile. The ONLY way to reduce crime is to get TOUGH on it, not allow thieves to run the show. Democrats basically do everything opposite of common sense and you can now see the results.
