Become a Virginia Registered Technician for Pesticides within 45 Days. Learn Names of the Professional Products Used by the Company, Understand their Labels and their Proper Usefulness. Calculate the Correct Amount of Product to Add to the Spray Tanks. Mix & Load in a Safe Manner. Learn the Proper Techniques for Application of the Products, and Apply the Products Using Company-approved Techniques. Understand How Company Equipment Functions. Identify Different Cultivars of Turfgrass and Turfgrass Seed. Identify Different Broadleaf and Grassy Weeds. Diagnose Different Turfgrass Pests & Problems. Learn Customer Routes and Drive Safely, Following VA Traffic Laws and Adhering to Company Policy! Communicate Effectively with Customers & Company Employees. Telephone Customers Ahead of Arrival. Desire for Ongoing Education of Company-related Subject Matter via Company, Classroom, and Seminar Training, as well as Individual Self-improvement Efforts.                ______________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________                ______________________________________________ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must have Current Driver's License and Clean DMV Record (No DUI Offenses, Reckless Driving, or Vehicular Accidents within the Past 5 Years), Reliable Personal Transportation with Paid and Up-to-Date Vehicle Insurance, and at least 5 Years Driving Experience. Must have a Clean Criminal Background Check, as well as the Proper Documentation to Verify U.S. Work Status Eligibility. Must be Available to Commence Work at 07:00, Monday to Friday (and occasionally Saturday). Must Speak Proficient English, and have Effective Communication and Customer Service Skills. Must be able to Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test. Must be a High School Graduate (or GED Equivalent). Must be 23 Years of Age or Older. Must be Proficient with Basic Mathematics and Geometry. Must have a Clean-cut, Professional Appearance. (No Extreme Body Piercings or Excessive Visible Tattooing.) Must be Able to Easily Lift 50 lbs., as well as Walk, Stand, Kneel or Bend Over for Extended Periods of Time. Knowledge and Ability to Perform Field Repairs on Mechanical Equipment is Not Required, but would be Greatly Favored by the Company in its Hiring Decision.
