Nonprofit/Company: Veteran Transition Academy (Veteran-founded and registered 501c3 nonprofit) Contact: Derek Gawrys ( Position Title: Warehouse Associate Industry: E-Commerce Location: Miami, Florida (Hialeah, near airport) Our nonprofit, Veteran Transition Academy runs an e-commerce shop as a fundraising vehicle to develop our programs supporting vets as they transition. We are moving into a brand new office space this week, and are excited to be hiring to continue helping our customers get the supplies they need. Warehouse Associates will support us by -Gathering order tickets and fulfilling them by packing them to ship -Receiving inventory when UPS, USPS, Fedex or trucks arrive -Organizing packing supplies and overall cleaning up -Able to work weekends -Losing the occasional game of ping pong to one of our in-house self-proclaimed champions of the table We have a lot of fun here, and we get a lot of work done, too. Pay is $15/hr to start plus meals, and the first raise comes after the first 3-4 weeks, with room to grow into other roles as well.
