We have moved the show upstairs to the big stage for this special event, Mary Santora opens the night. Monday August 2 $15 limited seating first come first serve. Doors at 8 Show at 9 Joyelle Nicole Johnson is a Brooklyn based stand up comedian, writer and actress. ... Joyelle was selected for the 2018 FOX Comedy Showcase, was a finalist in NBC's Stand Up for Diversity Showcase and has performed at festivals like Sketchfest, Bonnaroo, The New York Comedy Festival and Bumbershoot. Mary Santora has been named the “Best Undiscovered Comedian in Ohio” by Thrillist Magazine in 2018, “Comic of the Week” by The Jackie and Laurie podcast, the “Best Female Comedian” by Cleveland Scene Magazine in 2016, 2017 and 2019, competed in the 2018 “Best of the Midwest” competition at LaughFest in Grand Rapids, MI, and is quickly making a name for herself as one of the best up and coming comics in the country. She has a straightforward, quick witted style, and has performed alongside Dave Attell, Tom Papa, Jen Kirkman, and Kyle Kinane, to name a few. Mary is a fresh breath of femininity in the otherwise male-dominated world of stand up. Joyelle Nicole Johnson Mary Santora, John Bruton and Friends Comedy The Grog Shop opened in September of 1992 in the Coventry Rd. neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. Though expanded in size when moved to it’s current location in 2003, the club maintains the intimacy and raw character it has always been known for. We have a full bar with an extensive list of micro-brews, imports, and domestic beer, and of course plenty of liquor.
