Description

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance worker to perform all types of maintenance and general repair on our commercial buildings and rental homes. The ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of basic repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities: This person will be responsible for our commercial buildings and multiple rental houses in Omaha. • Complete rental house turnovers between tenants and some renovations. • Commercial building general repairs and maintenance. • Drywall repair and painting • Cleaning and general repairs. • Perform basic inspections and repairs for buildings and homes. • Minor plumbing services and repairs. • HVAC – replace filters regularly and basic maintenance. • Minor electrical maintenance and repair. • Parking lot maintenance and snow removal. • Lawn care, including mowing, weed control, tree and landscaping maintenance. • General labor tasks and other duties as assigned. • Set up and tear down various seating arrangements for social hall. • General facility janitorial duties when other work is low. • Perform other duties and activities as assigned. • Keep maintenance records and report to supervisor. • Maintains courteous and professional demeanor with residents, coworkers, and others. Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in home and building maintenance. • Experience and knowledge in general building maintenance. • Prefer overall experience of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall and general repair. • Previous paid experience in home and/or building maintenance or other related fields. • Valid Driver's License. • Must be team-oriented, dependable, resourceful, flexible, and results-driven. • Display proficiency while performing day-to-day tasks, preventative maintenance, and work orders. • Very good communication and interpersonal skills Physical Requirements: • Frequently lifts and carries up to 45 pounds • Occasionally lifts and carries up to 80 pounds • Pushes and/or pulls (appliances) using appliance dolly up to 200 pounds • Frequently bends/stoops, climbs stairs, kneels, balances, reaches above shoulder height, walks and twists Schedule: • Full time. Monday to Friday generally. Would consider a part time position as well. • Works on-call at times including weekends and evenings.
