Learn more about NC IDEA's Fall 2021 Grant Cycle Join us on Tuesday, July 27th to gain some valuable insight into the NC IDEA grant review process, network with the NC IDEA team and other founders, and meet some of the previous grant awardees. Ventureprise will be hosting the NC IDEA FOUNDATION to provide an overview of NC IDEA FOUNDATION programming, specifically focusing on the upcoming NC IDEA SEED and MICRO Programs, which provides up to $50,000 grants to early-stage, high-growth companies. During the first part of the session you will have a chance to learn about NC IDEA and introduce yourself to part of the team, including Thom Ruhe, Amy Bastian and Chelsea Caughlin . They will briefly walk through the various programs of the foundation and discuss those that may benefit your company, including NC IDEA LABS. The second part of the prep session will be interactive with direct feedback on what it means to submit a successful application for your venture. The session will provide tips and best practices for writing a successful application, covering the anatomy of the grant application with specifics on what the reviewers are looking for in each section. Schedule: 5:30-6:15pm – Network, Welcome and Introductions 6:15-6:40pm – NC IDEA SEED Grant Program Overview 6:40-7:30pm – Application Preparation Session with Q&A 7:30-8:00pm- Networking Event Parking: On campus parking at CRI-1 Deck Parking Deck. Walk from the deck to Robert D. Snyder Rd., turn right and continue on to Robert D. Snyder Rd. to the PORTAL building which will be on your left. Directions From I-77: Take exit 18 (Harris Blvd) and go east on Harris Blvd. for seven miles. Go to the N. Tryon/Hwy. 29 intersection and take a left. Take a right on JW Clay Rd. and left on Robert D. Snyder Rd. Parking will be in the CRI-1 Parking Deck on your right. From I-85: Take exit 45A (Harris Blvd.) and go east on Harris Blvd. for one mile. Go to the N. Tryon/Hwy. 29 intersection and take a left. Take a right on JW Clay Rd. and left on Robert D. Snyder Rd. Parking will be in the CRI-1 Parking Deck on your right. From I-485: Take exit #32 (N. Tryon/Hwy. 29). Turn heading toward Charlotte on N. Tryon/Hwy. 29. Turn left on Institute Circle. Go to circle and take your first right onto Robert D. Snyder Rd. Parking will be in CRI-1 Parking Deck on your left. From Uptown Charlotte on N. Tryon St (Hwy 29): From the intersection of Trade and Tryon, go north for seven miles on N. Tryon/Hwy. 29. At the fork of Hwy. 29/49, continue on N. Tryon/Hwy 29. Take a right on JW Clay Rd. and left on Robert D. Snyder Rd. Parking will be in the CRI-1 Parking Deck on your right.
