Nevada City Film Festival presents the family-friendly Movies Under the Pines in Pioneer Park, Nevada City. For summer 2021, the Nevada City Film Festival (NCFF) presents Movies Under the Pines, an outdoor cinema experience for the entire family, Friday, August 13 at the Pioneer Park Bandshell in Nevada City. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (PG-13, 2hr, 14min) Former scientist Galen Erso lives on a farm with his wife and young daughter, Jyn. His peaceful existence comes crashing down when the evil Orson Krennic takes him away from his beloved family. Many years later, Galen becomes the Empire's lead engineer for the most powerful weapon in the galaxy, the Death Star. Knowing that her father holds the key to its destruction, Jyn joins forces with a spy and other resistance fighters to steal the space station's plans for the Rebel Alliance. The film festival brings in state of the art projection and sound to create an outdoor movie theatre on the grass at Pioneer Park. Beer, wine, popcorn, and soft drinks are available for purchase. Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks allowed. Outside alcoholic beverages prohibited. Blankets and low back chairs are suggested. Gates open at 7:30pm and the film will begin at 8:00pm. Tickets $8/Per Person or $30/Per Family (four people).
