Looking for creative keyboard player

Description

Looking for a creative keyboard player for Oakland band. We’re a trio of experienced musicians in the “mature” category, but all still with an appetite for making some genuinely creative music. The line-up is drums/occasional vocals, bass/occasional guitar, and guitar/occasional bass. The music isn’t genre specific at all, but in no particular order touches on post-rock, soul, surf, psych, funk, Americana, Krautrock, and ethno-jazz. We’re big on grooves, improvisation, and experimentation, but have some tightly arranged songs mixed in too. Here's a demo of some early material recorded when the band was just a duo. It doesn't refelect the full range of what we're doing now, but it gives you some idea of our directions. https://goldbandoakland.bandcamp.com/album/duosonic We’d like a keyboard player who can bring some color and countermelodies whilst preserving the space in the music too. You could be coming from a retro Hammond, Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Moog type direction, or be more into contemporary synth electronica – either might work, and the ability to do bring both would be awesome! All of us contribute to the writing, and you might too. We’re all busy people with careers and families, but we meet most weeks at our space in Oakland. We’re easygoing people, we’re low on BS, we have fun, and we take the music seriously. We almost had a set together before the pandemic, then we had to put everything on hold. Over that time we had a few backyard jams and did a little writing, but we're all vaxxed so just resumed regular practices again and want to get to a state where we can play out pretty soon. If this sounds like something that might be a good mutual fit, please get in touch, tell us a little about yourself and share some of your music links.
