NEW BERLIN, WI — A man who led police on a pursuit through New Berlin and Muskego was charged with several felonies. Maurice Rogers, 45, of Milwaukee was charged with felony attempt to flee an officer, felony first-degree reckless driving, felony criminal damage to a highway or vehicle and two counts of misdemeanor property damage on Thursday, according to a criminal complaint. The Waukesha County court set Rogers' cash bail at $7,500 at a hearing Thursday. A preliminary hearing was set for July 16. Rogers led New Berlin Police Department officers on a chase after allegedly fleeing a sobriety test on Tuesday, police said. Officers chased him as he drove across several lawns, police said. At some point, a police car was rammed by Roger's car, police added. Rogers also had multiple warrants for his arrest, including one for felony firearm possession and a one for misdemeanor battery related to a domestic violence investigation, police said.
