NEW BERLIN, WI — The New Berlin Recycling Center will be closed every Thursday from Aug. 5 to Sept. 16. The City of New Berlin announced Thursday that the recycling center will close to aid Department of Public Works "cold storage" construction. The recycling center will still operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It will continue to operate Thursdays after Sept. 16, the city said. "These extra days of no traffic will help the contractor finish their grading activities in the busiest portions of the center first," the city said in a statement. It added that the DPW will leave signs near the recycling center entrance as soon as Thursday.
