The couple I currently rent a room from just found out they are having another baby and will be needing my room in about 8 months. I’m posting this to get a feel for what’s available, and am looking to move in the next 6 months so my roommates have plenty of time to prepare my room to be a nursery. I’m not in a rush, but I do have a time limit! I’m a 27 year old female with great rental history and excellent credit. I run a dog nanny business and spend a lot of time caring for animals in other peoples homes and walking dogs around town. Because I do a lot of petsitting in other peoples homes, I can be away for 1-3 weeks each month depending on what my clients are needing. I do not have any pets of my own. I am very low-key and mostly keep to myself. I like quiet time to read and watch tv when I’m not working. I clean up after myself and don’t listen to loud music or have loud guests over. I can offer pet care services such as dog walking, petsitting, bathing, feeding, etc. I’m hoping to find someone that needs help with their pets in exchange for cheaper rent. The couple I currently rent from offered me a deal in exchange for help with their dog and it has worked out great! I’ve lived with my current roommates for 4+ years and they would love to vouch for me. Before that I rented a pool house from a couple that would also be willing to be a reference! I also have many wonderful clients that trust me to basically live in their homes while they are away, and a lot of them would also love to be references. I’m just looking for somewhere to be “home base” when I’m not working. I spend so much time in other houses so it’s nice to have somewhere comfortable and familiar to unwind. Preferably in an area as central as possible. Rosemont, Rancho Cordova, East Sac, etc. are ideal, because that area is basically the center of all the places I frequent around town for work. I’m open to other areas if it’s close to the freeway! Room with shared common areas, in-law unit, pool house/guest house, tiny home, etc. are all types of housing I am interested in.
