Facility Maintenance Technician Job Summary The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for, under the direction of the Property Manager, general maintenance and repairs for facilities and facility equipment including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. Job Responsibilities Identifies and troubleshoots issues to determine appropriate repairs Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors or other building fixtures Performs minor plumbing repairs. Examples include replacing fixtures and repairing or replacing water supply and drain lines Performs minor electrical repairs. Examples include replacing outlets, diagnosing power consumption, and performing facility power audits Assists with examining and diagnosing HVAC issues Assists with the general upkeep of facilities, including cleaning & landscaping Assists with assembly, transportation, and installation of equipment Performs light refurbishment and deep cleaning of units during turnover Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance Conducts monthly facility inspections and maintenance sweeps Documents, reports, and maintains a log of maintenance work completed Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times Requirements Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools to install televisions, tablet mounts, shelves, corner mirror, signage Knowledge of general carpentry and repair Proven general plumbing and electrical repair Drywall patching and repair, installation of ceiling tiles; replacement of hood lights Professional-level painting Build break room furniture Fix basic plumbing repairs (tighten piping, install o-rings, PTFE tape etc) in commercial restaurant sinks 15-20 hours per week commitment, occasionally including nights or weekends Must have the ability to be on call Ability to communicate effectively issues and solutions to cross-functional team members, customers, and vendors Able to use digital scheduling and work distribution applications Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time & stand on feet for up to 8 hours per day Physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces Eligibility/Qualifications Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in at least one of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, painting, plumbing, carpentry Has own vehicle capable of transporting 32+ cubic feet of cargo space (SUV/Truck) Willing to travel between Denver and Aurora Facilities Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented Able to handle customer-facing interactions with kitchens and other stakeholders, promoting a customer-focused environment Complex problem solving Time-management while working independently Ability to use communication tools such as Slack, email, Google doc, and PM software like service channel Compensation and benefits $20-$24 per hour depending on experience
