SAN DIEGO, CA — A San Diego man was killed near Las Vegas last week after a man reportedly asked him if he could borrow a lighter, ABC 10 reported.
On July 1, 32-year-old Abraham Acosta and his husband were helping a friend with a move to Henderson when they took a break to buy cigarettes at a 7-Eleven. After he walked out of the store, a stranger asked him for a lighter, his brother, Ramon Acosta told ABC 10.
The stranger reportedly shot Acosta and drove away. The suspect, John Carrillo, was arrested 15 minutes later at a Walgreens. Carillo was reportedly wanted in connection with the death of another man, a slew of robberies and burglaries that all took place over a three day period, the station reported.
