NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP PARKS AND RECREATION ASSISTANT TEACHER OPENING Northampton Township Parks and Recreation is looking for candidates that are as passionate about the growth and development of children in our care as we are. Our program serves preschool children ages 3 – 5 years old in a supportive environment that shares our passion for early childhood education. Through our dynamic curriculum, our affectionate and loving staff ensures that our children are imparted with the knowledge to succeed. Assistant Teacher Qualifications Include: • An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children preferred.  CDA or 1-year experience working with children  Impeccable references and a proven track record of caring and nurturing children to provide them with a great start to their educational careers  Position is 20 hours a week  Ability to work flexible hours Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am – 1:45 pm, September thru June Our Assistant Teachers… • Are caring, compassionate and love what they do!  Assist in coordinating daily activities  Ensure the daily care of every child  Help to maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized.  Support the Lead Teacher in planning and preparing lesson plans  Are rewarded with hugs from children and praise from parents every day!
