Wealthy landowners have been grazing cows illegally on sensitive coastal grasslands at Point Reyes National Seashore. They were told to leave before and they just stay. The leases are up for renewal, and the cattle must go. Contact Department of Interior immediately (and Jared Huffman, and our Senators) to let them know to not renew the leases. Say something like the following: Please do not renew the leases for the handful of wealthy families to raise fancy organic grass-fed beef at Point Reyes National Seashore. It is a national seashore, not a national forest. The cows do incredible damage to delicate coastal ecosystems, obliterate Native American/ first peoples archaeology, and also add to climate breakdown. Tule elk are starving because of their restricted range, with so much acreage devoted to cattle. These wealthy families have had a free ride on public lands for long enough. Sincerely, Be sure and tell them your name and where you live, and if you are in Huffman's district make the point that you don't agree with him on this one. Thanks.
