Man Killed In Plymouth Highway 169 Shooting Was From Crystal

PLYMOUTH, MN — The driver who was shot and killed on Highway 169 was identified as a 56-year-old man from Crystal. Jay H. Boughton was shot in the head on the highway Tuesday night just south of Rockford Road. Boughton was taken to North Memorial Health Hospital, where he died just after 11:30 p.m., according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office. The Plymouth Police Department still looking for the suspect vehicle involved in the shooting. UPDATE: 3 additional suspect vehicle photos from last night's fatal shooting are available. Police are seeking a light colored SUV – Ford Expedition, Chevy Tahoe or Suburban, or similar vehicle w/ reported damage to driver's side rear bumper. The shooter fled the scene, police said. The driver who was shot was transported to North Memorial Hospital, where he died. Police say the car they are looking for is a light-colored SUV. It could be a Chevrolet Tahoeo a Chevrolet Suburban, or a Ford Expedition. The suspect vehicle may have damage to the driver's side rear bumper, investigators said.
