Job Description: Production Support Personnel are responsible for the tasks associated with mixing raw materials to create finished products. They operate within blends, spray dry, super coat, and rice. Key Responsibilities: (The Company may, from time to time, change the nature of the employee’s job responsibilities.) Follow SOPs and GMPs as well as food safety, human safety, and company policies.Perform housekeeping duties in the assigned area and in other areas of the plant as directed.Maintain an attitude of teamwork by assisting others and/or working in areas that you may not be primarily assigned to Duties and Day-to-Day Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following): Pouring powders into mixers in predetermined quantities up to and including 55 poundsOperating equipment (mixers, scales, meters, pumps, forklifts) safelyPerforming basic quality control checks including measuring, weighing, sealing, conducting package counts, and evaluating product and package appearanceCommunicating with the Production Operator (Lead) when materials are needed and batches are ready to packPackaging product when required Minimum Training, Education, and Experience Requirements: · Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be able to multitask, work well with others, and possess exceptional communication skillsWork Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job: Office and manufacturing environments Long periods of standing and walkingWet and/or humid conditionsClose proximity to moving mechanical partsExposure to fumes, airborne particles, and chemical odors possibleHazardous chemical handling including caustics, acids, and flammable hydrocarbons (Gloves, aprons, glasses, and other P.P.E. are available and required when handling certain chemicals.)Physical Requirements:Medium work – Frequently lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
