Seeking someone with a wide range of skills to help care for a large property in Central Vermont. Flexibility is needed as there are a variety of responsibilities. Knowledge of horses is preferred but a love of animals is a must. Carpentry skills and experience are required. You’ll be asked to show some past work. Other responsibilities might include clearing trees from the road with a chainsaw, snow plowing, caring for animals (horses, dogs, cats, goats, chickens), caring for the property while the owner is away, general security, plant care, maintenance appointments for vehicles and buildings, getting supplies, trail maintenance, random projects, etc. The applicant must be a careful and caring person with an attention to detail, must work well within a team or independently, as well as being organized and flexible.
