We have a 4 year old male great dane that is in need of a suitable home. We are beginning to grow our family, and the great dane is just a bit careless to keep around our young child. We are looking for a home for him with a large fenced in yard (he loves to play fetch and swim), a home with no male dogs (he has exhibited aggressive behavior towards male dogs in the past), and a home without very small children (he is ~150 pounds and is very large. He has never been aggressive towards children, but just a bit careless when playing). He has protective tendencies for his family as well, but he has never been aggressive to humans, just other male dogs. He is very leash reactive, which is why we want him to have a home with a fence. He is too large to walk on a leash, simply due to the fact that if he sees another dog he will head towards it. Otherwise he does fine on a leash. He is completely house and crate trained.
