Work/Life Balance: 9 to 5:30 work hours, M-F It’s summer in the Landscape Industry! If you are not completely jazzed about your current position, but you love professional gardening, consider switching to our outstanding company: Laurel Gardens. There’s still plenty of time in the season to settle into a new and awesome position! We are looking for individuals with 2 or more years of professional gardening experience who want to join a happy group of landscape professionals. Together we perform and oversee quality work including garden bed maintenance, hand-pruning, garden installation, and container design/installation. This is a mid-level position, and we are motivated to train so that you increase your knowledge, develop your career, grow as the company grows, and move upward to more responsibility. We pay top dollar in the industry and offer paid time off, paid Holidays, training in organic horticultural techniques, and a clothing budget. Job sites center around Lincoln/Concord MA and Melrose, MA Landscape Horticulturalists work as part of a team with a crew leader. Depending on your experience you may also be asked to act as supervisor overseeing assistant gardeners. Responsibilities include: Maintain garden beds and landscapes: plant, transplant, weed, deadhead, monitor for plant health Plant and install new gardens Hand prune shrubs and small trees Install seasonal container plantings Help train, oversee, and motivate employees Keep accurate time and materials records Hand pruning experience is a must Container design experience is a plus A creative spirit? Yes! Essential qualities: reliable, hard-working, detail oriented, and fast-learner Required: Current MA driver’s license and use of own vehicle for travel to and from job sites
