Guitarist Looking for Gigging Cover and or an Original Band

I am an Electric Guitar Player looking for a Gigging Band somewhere in the South Bay or Santa Cruz, Boulder Creek Area. I just moved back down here from Fort Bragg/Mendocino after caring for my mother for 11 years and am dying to get jamming again. I did play in several bands up there while I was taking care of my mother so I am fairly well-practiced. My gear is pretty much up to speed, I just need to make a new foot pedal (1 day's worth of work) and I am good to go. I have learned hundreds and hundreds of cover tunes throughout the years so I probably know half of your tunes already? but you never know? But I am a fast learner. It was definitely a learning experience, to say the least. First off I became a radio DJ with a buddy of mine on KNYO. http://www.knyo.org/ a local station in Fort Bragg That really improved my gift of gab LOL and I met many awesome people through the experience. Then I was fortunate enough to get involved with assembling by hand, the string-bender guitars (some call it the B-Bender) by the gentleman that invented it. Gene Parsons the drummer from none other than the... Byrds. WOW... how cool is that! ( you know the song... 867-5309 LOL) There are just too many stories to tell about him :). and I love him dearly!!!
