The Anodizing Technician reports to the Anodizing Lead. To be successful as an Anodizing Technician, the individual in this position will be required to perform a wide variety of tasks including receipt inspection of incoming parts, fixturing parts for coating and processing parts through a variety of chemical and water rinse solutions. Other routine tasks include operating an anodizing system, performing final inspection and packaging along with data entry indicating when tasks were completed. Maintaining a clean environment and cleaning assignments are part of the job position. Ultimately, an outstanding Anodizing Technician has a keen sense of process and timing, and maintains records. Anodizing Technician Responsibilities: • Review the requirements of the customer drawings and specifications • Perform Anodizing to specific requirements of the specifications provided • Maintain the Anodize line as needed to produce quality product • Monitors test tanks and process parts in tanks per specifications, work order, and other requirements • Calculate the appropriate amount of time needed to process parts • Remove parts from tank after specific time, rinse parts, and immerse them in the bath before finishing processing • Perform Final post anodize inspection of product • Follows written procedures and processes for coating applications • Creates and maintains a safe work environment • Ensure all hazardous waste material is managed properly • Adheres to all company safety, environmental standards, and OSHA standards Physical Demands: • Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds by self in a safe manner • Required to wear personal protective equipment (eye/ear protection, gloves, etc.) Qualifications • High school degree/GED required • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and build documentation • Must be able to pass in-house certifications including personal protective equipment, hazardous waste, and cleanroom practices • Must be able to work in a team environment with engineers, assemblers, and technicians • Ability to work in a team environment to complete goals, while also working independently on projects • Knowledge of basic mechanical concepts • Must have basic computer skills • Commitment to quality • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test Benefits: • 401(k) employer paid • Long Term Disability insurance • Health and Dental Insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off
